Sambrook's was founded in Battersea in 2008 by Duncan Sambrook and has grown quickly to become an established UK brewer with a reputation for quality.
Sambrook's launched in November 2008 after Duncan Sambrook quit his job as a city accountant to pursue his dream of becoming a brewer. His co-founder, David Welsh, echoed this belief and together they transformed a warehouse in Battersea into a 20 barrel brewery.
ABOUT MORDEN HALL PARK
Nestled in the heart of suburban London lies the Green Oasis, Morden Hall Park where the River Wandle meanders through acres of parkland.
Once an important agricultural subsidiary to the Westminster Abbey Estate - the estate has seen a diverse history, from country estate, to former deer park and later on an industrial gem in the Snuff Milling industry. Given to the National Trust in 1942 by the generous Mr Gilliat Hatfeild.
It is now a tranquil parkland that hosts a range of activities for all to enjoy.
THE REASON TO CELEBRATE
Sambrook's flagship beer, Wandle is named after the River Wandle which runs through Morden Hall Park.
Duncan Sambrook the founder of the brewery is passionate about the river Wandle. When the opportunity arose to work with Morden Hall and the National Trust to celebrate the anniversary of our brewery as well as the ever burgeoning beer scene, it seemed like a match made in heaven.
